Building alliances for regenerative transition in Latin America
The Barichara Regenerative Foundation and the Northern Andean Fund participated in the second edition of LARIS 2026, the Latin American Summit on Regenerative Investments, held in Bogotá from May 12 to 14. The event brought together leaders, specialists, and key players in the regenerative investment ecosystem to explore new financial models focused on social and environmental impact.

A strategic scenario for Latin American regeneration
LARIS brought together impact investors, foundations, corporations, banks, investment funds, governments, regenerators, and climate finance stakeholders to catalyze and mobilize capital for the region's regenerative transition. The summit took place at the Choquenzá Club in Bogotá and solidified its position as the most important forum on the continent for purpose-driven regenerative finance.
For three days, attendees participated in keynote addresses, panel discussions, and learning sessions on topics such as regenerative agriculture, natural capital, forest systems, ecotourism, and biodiversity. The event functions as a living ecosystem where investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, community leaders, and decision-makers come together to build trust, exchange knowledge, and activate investment opportunities in nature-based solutions.
The participation of the Barichara Regenerative Foundation and the Northern Andean Fund in LARIS 2026 meant bringing the experience of bioregionalization of the territory to a continental stage. The meeting fostered conversations about regenerative finance, territorial economies, ecological restoration, food systems, and bioregional development from a perspective that integrates community, culture, and nature.
The presence of these organizations at the summit made it possible to strengthen relationships and strategic alliances with national and international actors who are now mobilizing learning, investments and collaborative networks for the care of life and territories.
Connecting regeneration, culture and economy
Beyond the exchange of technical knowledge, LARIS was a space for forging connections with organizations aligned with a holistic vision of regeneration. The summit seeks to bridge two worlds: community-led regeneration and impact-driven climate finance, demonstrating how these visions can reinforce each other to unlock innovative and sustainable solutions for the region.
For Barichara Regenerativa and the Northern Andean Fund, this is precisely the horizon that guides their work: to demonstrate that bioregionalization processes from the Northern Andes are a viable and replicable approach, connecting environmental regeneration, culture, economy and community as paths towards more vibrant and resilient futures.
One more step in building regenerative networks
Participation in LARIS 2026 reaffirms these organizations' commitment to continue forging alliances that broaden the reach and impact of regenerative processes in Barichara and its region. The Latin American regenerative movement is transforming how we learn, invest, and inhabit the land, and from the Colombian Andes, Barichara Regenerativa continues to be an active part of that transformation.
The journey continues: more partnerships, more shared learning, and more life-oriented investments.
