How we are organized

We approach the work we do in the territory from three perspectives:

TAPESTRY OF INITIATIVES

Thematic axes and
Bioregional Learning Center

The Barichara Regenerative Foundation is responsible for articulating, supporting and promoting active initiatives in the territory that are implementing regenerative processes in one or more of the four thematic axes on which the foundation focuses its actions. These four axes are: Environmental regeneration; Regenerative culture and territorial healing; Regenerative economy; Regenerative education. And through the Bioregional Learning Center, we systematize and disseminate experiences of the different regenerative processes in the territory to put them at the service of the community and decision makers.

Environmental regeneration

It focuses on the conservation, recovery, protection, management, and use of natural ecosystems and the well-being and resilience of the environment in the territory.

Regenerative economy

It is dedicated to promoting social entrepreneurship and regenerative business development in the territory, linked to circular and regenerative economy processes.

Regenerative education

It seeks to link the experiential learning of girls and boys with real-world challenges in the community and the planet, hoping that they become young leaders who actively participate in regenerative practices. The same goes for adults.

Regenerative culture and territorial healing

It promotes social development, artistic creation and cultural education, fostering memory and ecological awareness, with a decolonizing approach. It implements territorial healing practices that integrate mental and reproductive health and collective care.

Our commitment to learning drives our work. So, inspired by the organizational framework proposed by environmental scientist Donella Meadows, we created the Bioregional Learning Center. This center is the component of the foundation that is responsible for researching, systematizing, consolidating and disseminating the experiences of the different processes that work on the regeneration of the territorial landscape in Barichara, to put them at the service of the community and decision-makers.

Community funds

Our four Thematic Axes each have a Fund to which helping hands and generous hearts contribute so that the dreams of regeneration continue to take shape. You can be part of this movement. By donating, you will not only be supporting the continuity of the processes, but you will also become a guardian of life and biodiversity, a collaborator in the healing of the territory and its inhabitants.

The time to act is now! Learn about each of our Funds and discover how your contribution can make a difference. You can also donate to each initiative, communicate directly with us and share this with other people who want to support us in multiplying our impact.

Currently, there are two active funds: the Regenerative Education Fund and the Environmental Regeneration Fund.
