Ojo de Agua Cultural Foundation
It is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that has been working uninterruptedly for 14 years in five fields. 1) Creative educommunication. 2) Creation in performing arts. 3) Education and research with a focus on methodologies of communication, arts, social sciences, culture and peace, finding innovative methodologies for rural life in Colombia. 4) Creation and construction of the Caney Colibrí creative and community rural space, the only Rural Concerted Hall in Santander. 5) Care of the La Aguada Farm as a prototype and pedagogical stage with a focus on local restoration of water and soil in the Tropical Dry Forest.
Its activities include:
• Creation of original dramaturgies and stage productions that reflect the identity of the community and enrich the local cultural panorama.
• Workshops, laboratories and schools that cover various artistic disciplines and environmental restoration techniques.
• Through the Ojo de Agua Cultural Foundation, the Audiovisual School for Children develops a pedagogical project where girls, boys and young people can explore and cultivate their creative talents.
• Restoration of the micro-basin of a stream and efforts to regenerate the Tropical Dry Forest, vital for our environment.
• Promotion of intergenerational and community dialogue, using the arts and word circles to strengthen the social fabric.
• Organization of the Caney Colibrí Festival, an event that celebrates the arts and brings together girls, boys and rural communities around culture and creativity.
• Permanent programming of performing arts, music and arts at Caney Colibrí.
